Airbus is adamant that it will not support Concorde’s continuing operation beyond this October. Airbus’s chief executive Noel Forgeard is on the record as stating no other airline can operate Concorde without their support. Airbus is the key supplier in the Concorde operation. It’s a world-class company that not only built Concorde, it specifies the maintenance regime and supplies the parts which make it fly.
the filton site was given to BAC during the war effort given the close proximity of Rolls Royce filton, BAC later became BAe.
Airbus became a nationalised company and BAe where removed from site fully by 2002, due to the production of the A380 starting.
All drawings and manufacturing processes for concorde where governend by BAe and Aérospatiale, but the fact this is now on a Airbus site, i can understand the claim.
