Cosworth designed the cylinder heads.
Coscast was a technology which I beleive bolenonged to a subsiduary casting company of cosworth, and cast the early heads.
GM then took over production and made the heads themselves, although returned to the cosworth for the turbo models which also had coscast, and the very late DIS engines, this was to stop the issue with porous heads that the GM castings were prone to.
