chers for help alex, pumps working now, just stripped it down to go over the timing again and its not good what i found, by trying to do the job properly even thought im selling it, i fitted new belt, tensioner and timing chain. The belt wasnt genuine ford nor the tnsioner and the tensioner collapsed as was still done up tight but belt was slack,i slackened off the bolt and tried to retension it and it doesn't tension. Tried old tensioner and tensions. Next i thougnt id try and time it up with old tensioner and try my luck and hope theres no bent valves etc (unlikely) then as i went to turn the cam i realised it was snapped so there goes a 50k engine just because a tensioner so im not at all happy lol. im really hoping its just a head
