ive fitted a new fuel pump, timing chain and belt etc to a v plate 1.8 tddi ford focus recently, the pump pumped once programmed but doesn't now?

the engine started with easy start before pump was programmed so know timings right.

problem is whilst bleeding the lines ( cracking off at the injectors) was going to plan till i cracked it off completly to make sure no air was in there and it had stopped pumping? car wont start with easy start and after a while of cranking over the glow plug light starts flashing? im wondering could the glow plugs have gone being one of the reasons easy start will no longer start it? as ive had a simular problem before on a diesel after a little cranking over. and i unplugged the pump to get to a fuel union but am unsure if dad had the ignition on so could have done something there? . any help much appreciated, thank you
