car ran fine but was put off the road for 8 months and out of mot,went to start it with charge pack and brand new battery after that,and after the ignition light it just clicks,not like a relay click when battery flat its like clicks once every second or 2

and if i put in gear with the clutch out and try crank it,it doesnt move forward or back
