Despite the 40bhp peak difference, I would say those two engines make the same power, my reasoning for this, is that during a wdith of 2500rpm that you need to go through in each gear, they both average 325bhp or so for that 2500rpm window, so will both on average pull the same through the whole gear.

Does that make sense Benni?

Not saying thats how other people should view it, just how I do, as thats what actually matters in terms of the car accelerating through each gear.
