Nah they dont get a grand every week and even if they did, they would have to have no holidays to get 52k!
Its a thing that happens in construction ALL THE TIME! Someone says to a bricky/plasterer/joiner etc in a pub, what you earning then...and theyll say oh a grand a week! When in reality, they are probably lucky to top 40k per year by then time holidays are taken and the weather has played its part.
yup was gonna mention holidays, time off etc, being self employed you dont get holiday pay at all! or sick pay! or much else!
and being self employed IMO you need an accountant and maybe a solicitor, so there fees have to be taken out of whatever you earn....
grand a week soon gets swallowed by tax man, retention, citb, accountant, travel costs, etc etc etc
