Id still have a good look at the propshaft and all the uj's
My landy had the same squeek problem, getting faster with speed, then it went away so i ignored it.
A week later, i was towing a mk1 escort up to edinbrugh, had done 600miles, just out side edinbrugh the front prop uj spaped at 70 mph.
It was 2am pitch black, the truck weight 2.5 ton and the mk1 and trailer easily was another 2 ton, the the propshaft lifted my landy clear of the tarmac. the shaft battered the floor pushed my left foot up about 8" then flew off down the road.
luckily i snaked the whole thing over to the hardshoulder.
I never did find out where the prop ended up, had horrible visions of a bike hitting it!
So yeh for the sake of 10 mins checking it, and a 6 month squirt with the grease gun now. id say its well worth remembering!!!
