to witch they get the hump lol

what gets you lot then??
I have EXACTLY the same problem! In my workshop, the entrance is throug ha shutter and runs along side the office before opening out into the full workshop area. When we drive in or pull cars in we drive in, pull round to the right and park, leaving the access clear.

99% of my customers think a) it's fine to just drive in without a word to anyone - DESPITE the NUMEROUS signs that say the point after the shutter is authorised personal only, no public - and worse still, think B) they can pull into the bit alongside the office and stop there, blatently blocking the whole workshop and stopping anyone going in and out!

Others seem to think they should pull up to the shutter and stop there, again, blocking people from getting in or out!

I mean, how fucking dumb do you need to be! Considering that outside the windows of my unit are three parking bays, all clearly marked, and a fuck off sign on the door saying RECEPTION, with another fuck off sign on the wall next to the shutter saying "ALL CUSTOMERS GO TO RECEPTION" along with a sign at each parking bay with fucking arrows POINTING you to reception!

Yet they STILL do it day in and day out!

Thats pet hate number one.....

Pet hate number two is people that think appointments don't apply to them. Prime example this morning. I ring up customer at half 8 - who's booked in for the first appointment, and explain that it's raining and I need them to drive in to have the work done. I give directions, the guy asked clearly when should he come in, and I CLEARLY stated straight away as he's my first appointment. I think my exact words were "come in straight away, so I can get it done straight away for you". Quarter to 10 I ring him up (he lives 3 miles away) and he's still at home. He says "Oh, I was gonna leave at 10am after the traffic dies down" FFS, which part of "straight away" do you not understand??!?!?!?!"

Same with virtually ALL the customers I have booked in to have work done in the branch - we give them on the hour appointments - ie, 9am, 10am, 11am, etc etc. Yet they still turn up at quarter past, 20 past, half past - sometimes several HOURS late, and then get miffed when I tell them they won't be getting their car done as they are late and missed their slot! Some give it the "oh, well we were told BETWEEN 9 and 10" Yeah, you turn up at 9 and I work on your car between 9 and 10, so it's ready for you at 10

Third pet hate: people who drive their car in - into a business that WORKS ON CARS - and then close all the windows and lock it up and walk off with the keys! I mean FFS!

Finally - those that come down to have work done, and you do the inspection etc on the vehicle, explain to them that it will take say an hour or 2hrs etc, find out if they are going to be waiting there the whole time etc, then ask for their keys, and they insist on taking the ONE car key off their entire bunch of keys. I mean, when your 5 miles from home and it's pissing down outside, and all you are going to be doing for the next hour is sitting in reception - WTF do you need your house keys, your bike lock key and your gym locker key for?!?!?! GIMME THE DAMN BUNCH!!!!
