As mentioned already they do look really strange but it was the same when they raised the front wing endplate a few years ago, increased the minimum size of the rear end plate & especially when they changed to the current narrow track/grooved tire rules - to my eyes they all looked terrible! After a few races we'll get used to it i'm sure, plus the aero packages will change a lot before march.

The new regulations have been well thought out as they tested with 2 cars in the wind tunnel to try reduce the effects of turbulence on a following car.

KERS is actually optional for next year, Autosport reckon teams may use it at some tracks and not at others depending on how the 60kg (total weight of the energy recovery system) affects the car.
