If you think your engine is running economically at full throttle (especially on a cat car), then you are sadly mistaken

The load calculation in the ECU is primarily generated by the signal from the MAF. By using the wrong MAF (eg, one with a different linearisation curve), you're just running in the wrong parts of the MAF. It's like running the wrong chip in a car. It doesn't work.
