My escort cos has been making a slight rumbling noise when slowing down for while now, but has got worse in the last week.

When slowing down the noise starts, if i press the clutch in it stops.

When stopped if i press the clutch in and out, with the engine running, i can hear a slight knocking noise when letting the clutch out. But it doesn't do this with the engine off.


No noise when driving in general just when backing off.
