Hi guys,

Is there any guidelines as to how much side to side movement is acceptable in a turbo.....I understand it must vary across different size turbos but there must be a rule or guides to go by.....wiggling it and judging its condition is ok if you know what your looking at but I unfortunately havent purchesed many 2nd hand turbos.

So my main question is how much shaft play (side to side) should I expect on a new t38 turbo and at what measurement should I start to think about rebuilding?
