It was over $2.0/£1 not very long ago at all! I was buying from the states on an hourly basis. LOL
I know it peaked to over $2 dollars, now that was good for the Brits but shit for the yanks.However it was only any good for the Brits to import but shite for our export.
Many years ago it was $1.45 I also vaguely recollect a time when it was even less than that.The pound has been over inflated against the dollar for years time for it to get back to a realistic true value
