P.S. Programming C and C++ does my head in enough never mind ECU programming!
I know it'll be hard, and even if i created my own scratch built ecu with self mapping facility and spark creep, I still wouldn't know 'much' in the grand scheme of things. My brother is expert in C++ etc so I think to combine that with a knowledge of cars would be very useful. I frankly understand it on a basic level, but am willing and want to learn, even if it only benefits me i'll be happy

I just want to learn by doing. As much help as stus tech articles are (and others tech posts) it doesnt make me better at anything. I might be better informed, and less likely to go wrong though, so of course they are invaluable, but I cant read something and claim to know what i'm on about with it
