Anyway Jim my mate had an MR2, same shape as you and there were great many things that used to become loose on this one, the rear suspension actually is a Celica front suspension and it's not that great as rear suspension. I remember he had it on 17'' and it was fine according to him. I only drove it once and in the snow so I can't say as in the snow MR2 is as hardcore as it gets.
