I fucking love that expression, if there is one things that footballers arent, its genius

Sorry but there is a world of difference between practicing curving a ball etc and genius, if David beckham could sit down and demonstrate to 3 decimal places the forces involved in one of his curve balls and why it bends by the amount it does etc, Id maybe accept him as a genius, but just getting good at kicking something is a skill, its NOT genius, anyone saying so IMHO doesnt actually understand what genius means
