i want the n96 too, but my contracts not up for a while. I'll be interested to see what the google phone is like, as in my experiance the problem with these things is that they could do all these really sweet things IF someone would make the software work and google are likely to support this really well. I'm just interested to see if the"gPhone" is going to come out at all. It's been "almost" out, and even "out next week/month" for over 2 years now
It has the potential to be superb, but as you say, it's down to the software and support. Google have opened the software up to developers, just like the iphone, tho to be fair, a bit more open source than Apple allowed, so there should be good variety, but that does slow everything down in terms of getting it finalised and launched as everything needs submitting, testing and approval....
Keen to see it in action tho
