As title, in my mk4 esy.
Any ideas?

No wobble under braking or bumpy roads just noticeable play when turning either left or right.

You can turn the wheel a degree either direction then 'clonk' then it starts actually turning the wheels. Its almost as if one of the CV joints in the column is worn.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm guessing its not column bushes as the column doesnt move itself if I try to wobble it.
I cant see any obvious wear or feel any play in any front joints.

I do have a spare rack if necessary but its for a mk3 if it makes any odds.
