Wonder if any of you guys could pinpoint my problem.Gotta series 2 rst and dropped a spare engine in it just 6 weeks ago.The engine seems fine with 70 psi of oil pressure cold and just under 20 psi hot at idle.Had no problems with it until I lost my rag with a to**er in a cavalier who overtook me on double white lines so I nailed him but in doing so I now have a problem with the car kicking out smoke. It happens only occasionally when you decelarate slightly and let the engine slow you down.when you re-apply the throttle it smokes briefly and then clears.Doesnt do it all the time though. If I stick to 60mph/3000rpm max it doesnt burn oil but anything over that it does.Ive had the engine compression checked and the guy says its the best he has seen with 170 psi in all 4 cylinders. The valve stem seals were replaced when I dropped the engine into the car but they were the old type without the metal washers on.Has anyone got a clue coz ive run out of ideas?cheers everyone. p.s I have noticed that the oil in the filler cap turns creamy as well and the cars idle has gone up to 1100 rpm and wont come down.
