Benni- those devices are just programming devices. It's like offline mapping. Ultimately what you want is an aftermarket ECU with the ability to hook a laptop up and modify it in realtime with the engine running, ergo 'live mapping'. Should be called online mapping really, to compare to offline
Would you personally use one of these? Am I right in assuming they are not very good for getting 100% out of your engine? I guess they have their advantages. However, Dream science have many different maps within the unit. Economy, Performance, Race, Race Plus and so on. Am I wrong to assume a remap will give you all the above in one map?
