its a pain in arse to bypass

you need to take the pump off,
cut away the metal shroud that covers the stop solinoid which is at the back of the pump
find the solinoid and get the 2 wires - put 1 to earth and 1 to a ignition switched live

i have done the same converion with a TDI engine (see sig) if you have any other problems feel free to ask !
