Default External wastegate pressure take off....

righto, just been out doing some of the vac stuff on the 3dr and i found that i may have a small problem.

now, this pic kinda dictates how the vac stuff is going to be

i knew that my turbo does NOT have an outlet for a vac fitting on it, but as its an external wastegate, it didnt pose a problem, until now lol

basically, i was planning on using the outlet marked spare on my quality diagram to go to the boost controller, and then from the boost controller to the external wastegate.

one point is that the vac manifold is obviously on the inlet, just before the cylinder head - so is this too far into the system for a take off? Does it need to be on the compressor housing etc?

and secondly, its AFTER the throttles, so will this be a problem?

im not sure it will be, as if the throttle is closed, you wont need the wastegate open, and when it is open, the system will be pressureised...

anyone got any input please.

ta,

Dan
