Do you have any largeish pebbles? These fish like to build - they will redesign the tank to their own specifications. Mine has dug a big hole in the gravel, then lined it with pebbles, and then moved one of the plants next to the hole - he's happy for the moment, but will no doubt soon start redesigning - it's comedy to watch.
Yes I have 3 large pebbles and he is constantly swimming into them, he also picks up the pebbles and makes "holes" in the tank and goes mad when u try and put it right.

He isnt TOO bad at the moment, but I'm sure he will get worse as he gets bigger.
