I am surprised that you say they won't work correctly with the wrong ecu though, since many people will run a 4x4 TPS on L6 with the wires swapped. Is this a case of it works, but not 100% correctly
L6 with 4x4 tps will think the throttle is always slightly on, even if off ???
IIRC If you watch it on a monitor as you back off the throttle when its the wrong way round it goes
