The only people and the most experienced in mapping Gotech is Jamie at Jamsport, the other person who maps it is Simon from Si-Tech in Scotland.
My problem was that I would have to trailer my car there adding to the costs, likewise if I wanted someone wise to map it, I may be able to find someone willing to map it, but how much experience would they have?
It was for this reason alone that I went for Cossie management... I can get it mapped by Stu from MSD, Amhed, Norris, Engine Advantages and many others which keeps the price of mapping competitive while offering the widest choice of experience available. The fact that the system has been around for years in everything from Cossies, to Lancia Intergralli's, to Ducatti's and Ferrari's is something I found comforting as this means there is a great deal of knowledge about the system itself... The very best management system is only as good as the person who maps it and their knowledge
Its still worth remembering that the cossie management is being used on the fastest escorts in the UK at at this time which also suggests that it is up to the job.
Although many people regularly quote price, as an objection regarding one system or another they also forget resale value and desirability. A cossie L8 or P8 ECU is still widely desirable and sells for good money second hand which means its depreciation is very low compared to other systems, the ECU I have is selling for the same kind of money as I paid for it,
for £1400 you have a wide range of options to choose from regarding management.
Find a mapper who you like and follow their advice imho
