its not to say a bigger dish wont make a difference tho, but as with plants / trees unless they are removed, they can only grow bigger / get thicker
and you'll be bak in the same boat again after spending out on unnecessary equipment
alex i think your best bet is to speak to your neighbough about the tree, and it just needing a trim, tell them you'll get rid of any mess, pay costs etc
