A bit off topic but a few years ago i was arguing with autoglass that my 1990 mark 5 escort ghia had a heated windscreen. According to the guy at the desk escorts didn't come with heated windscreens until some time later, cant remember the stupid ass year he said. I was like WTF?! Series 2 turbos have heated fucking windscreens. Fucking twat he was.
After all that i went to premier windscreens and got offered non-heated or heated, i got the non-heated one fitted cos i didn't give a shit ha ha but it just shows what some places are like. I really don't know how he could have justified it...

Heated screens were available in Fords before 1990.... As you said S2's had them, as do Sierra's from before that year. I know cos I've fitted them
But the guy you argued with was a Scot, so I'm not surprised
