£3 a kilo is £3000 a ton for clean,stripped copper so if your only getting £1200 per ton with plastic then re do your maths. ill put in the extra work required to strip it clean for another £1800 anyday. the lesser price will be for contaminated metals .
maths is not your strong point is it? the plastic weighs 40-60% on most cable unless its power cable or similar!!!
