not legal aid, no. but you can make use of the duty solicitor in court on that day.
good luck, but i would have just taken the punishment. in fact i did earlier this year
i got a NIP for speeding in a 30 zone at 58mph when i did not know that i had done it (and was fairly sure that i had not). but sometimes it's better to just take the 3 points and £60 rather than try to fight it and end up with more
