You do not actually need to drill any holes, however you need to locate somewhere to put the ECU and for most people the glovebox seems a suitable place... the question is where are you going to put the ecu and how are you going to get there
Personally I would forget the 2wd loom as its still old shit which has probably been spliced a 100 times for alarms and issues itself, I would suggest contacting Ryan of these forums and getting him to make you a new loom
