in practice, how much more room do you gain for the front wheels from that?
We're using different uprights of a Sierra , Capri Billies are getting hard to find , and the sierra allows the wheel to pivot much more central having the KPI closer to the wheels centerline when going up in width, so we havnt go as much forward and back motion of the wheel, you know how close it gets to an escorts footwell and front panel on a standard Capri legs.. well this set up means it dosnt do that.
Plus your shell was mint compared to that mk2, it had been cut about and patched so much over the years that it really was an un-economical repair what with an escort front end costing 2.5k in panels alone its worked out cheaper doing this ..
The Mk1 though is staying with the escort/capri legs, and will have a tube front end as its for a road car not racecar.
