Hi All,

I am hoping someone on here can help me. I am experiencing major cam wear on my 2.0 pinto engine, there is a really bad 'tappity' noise from the cam after only being driven for a few miles and I am now on my third cam! It seems that the followers are the main cause of the problem as these are becoming very badly worn, which in turn is wearing the lobes on the cam.

The bottom end of the engine is completly new, and each time the cam has been set up in accordance with Kent Cams procedures and plenty of cam lube was used. It is a new spray bar and I have checked that plenty of oil is spraying on the cam.

Has anyone experienced this problem before.
