On the other hand i have found out that if i keep my fule above 1/4 of a tank it wont cut out at junctions. Any suggestions?

Strange things DO happen!
A suggestion is to try and exchange the fuel pump. They can cause odd situations. Try a pump from a mate or something to see if it makes any difference. If it cures the problem, get a fresh one!
