£600 for a set of steel rods AND pistons? I doubt it...

Why bother with real top end stuff if your power target isn't anywhere near? I mean £150 from phil, you can build a decent engine thats going to be more than powerful enough for most people.

I totally agree if your going for big power and I would recommend a decent set of rods for decent power but if someone just wants say 250bhp then really no point. Standard rods and a set of pistons from phil, you got a nice engine for not loads of money.
