My comments with regards to being naive would seem to be backed up by your words in the quote below
The "minute scratches" over the surface has fuck all to do with it. The fact that the ports do not line up and the fact the blended section of the adapter plate covers the injector boss DOES. The fact that the adapter plate has been machined so poorly that straight cuts are wonky is a problem. Whoever Jano gets to machine those plates, to be frank needs a good slap.
Bandwagon jumping has sod all to do with it - That particular adapter plate that Jano has sold is shit, no ifs, no buts. If you would be happy with something of that quality on your car you are not a perfectionist or have one very bizarre definition of perfection.
I have not got something of that quality on my car tho - his plates are not usually of that quality We have done 4 efi conversions using jano's plates and they was all good quality! Im sure if he was unhappy all he had to do was call jano and explain why and he would have exchanged it he is a helpfull chap
