I had one of jano's adaptor plates on my efi conversion and it was spot on quality workmanship! Not like some shit i have seen fabricated so rough i cut my self

ive got bits im waiting for from Jano and i only decided to get it from him due to people's recommendations and his knowledge on what i need/want for my car.
no doubt when it turns up i will be ordering more stuff too due to it being exactly what people have said.

From the looks of the adapter plate in the photos on that thread, you're very easily pleased or very naive with regard to what is good quality machining and what is not. I can tell you now, from a professional view point, the adapter plate shown in that thread would not pass QC at any even semi-decent machine shop.

from my experience of 15 years working in a machine shop i would be embarassed to put my name on it let alone have the cheek to charge someone Ł60 for it .
i would expect a first year apprentice to do better

Went down A/S and bought every thing they had lol. I personally dont use jano but i knbow at least 10 people that do, And have not heard many bad things.
I do agree that the adapter plate does not look like top class workmanship but thats why its 60 quid i suppose.
Most of what jano sells is good money, thats how he makes a living.

The "minute scratches" over the surface has fuck all to do with it. The fact that the ports do not line up and the fact the blended section of the adapter plate covers the injector boss DOES. I know the guy who USED to do his machine work. I dont think he does it any more. That might be why the shite quality item has surfaced. The guy now works for London underground.
I love the white cabrio to bits and has been VERY tastefully put together. I would like to have a cabrio just like this. I will have to say though that its hardly pushing the RS Turbo engineering boundaries to the limit. I have had limited dealings with Jano on a more complicated project and I must say I wont be dealing with him again. He let me down very badly!
Although the Guy is sound enough to deal with and I fully respect the guy has MANY satisfied customers. Just bear in mind the size and complexity of the job before you hand over your hard earned!
