In a nut shell, the CVH requires more fuel to create the same BHP/Torque as the YB.

Brake specific fuel consumption.

Even if you're not running your injectors flat out, they still wouldn't flow any more than what the map is set to if your boost increases for what ever reason. The only way to increase the fueling is to change the map (assuming your injector duty cycle isn't on or close to the maximum) or the fuel pressure (but that knocks your mapping out off boost making it run richer).
