Mate your speaking rubbish, avg does not use much resources, its one of the AV's that uses the least, if you want proof i can show you in my task manager
mate ive had it installed on my pc high on resources meaning its constantly accessing your hard drive think of it as when you click on a program then click on another how slow is your pc then as both programs are trying to access the hard drive at the same time
