Unfortunately you sort of stuck there as you only have 2 options....... well 3 if you want to be picky.
1) Pay up, look big, and get a proper car.
2) Do it on the cheap (and i use the term very loosely) by doing ALL the work yourself, and potentially end up with a death trap.
3) Bin off the whole idea until you really can afford it.
