sourcing and fitting the right flywheel, cutting and shutting the exhaust, temp guage, alternator belts, you get your moneys worth.

It's more the faffing around and getting everything tidy that takes the time. You want it to look like it's supposed to be there and be reliable, not wiring all over the shop and hitting the exhaust off everything cos they did it quick to cut down on labour time...

My donor cost 300 and still had 10 months mot on it full history etc. You should be able to find a good runner with a shitty body for that if you look around a bit.
