I looked into it a little while ago but decided to stay with what I was doing .....at the time they were supposed to bring it on there was talk about moving to change date forward, which pissed a few people off. I have a friend who has spent in excess of £10k training and doing all the relevant courses, training, exams, etc

Its like any job your not doing. It'll look rosey from the outside but you'll need to make certain you get the work coming through to pay for itself, etc
If you need any more info then I can always ask my friend as he's in his first 6 months so most things are fresh in his mind...
I forgot to mention that Scottish (sp) Energy are advertising for Project Managers ..it night be worth joining them for the training then doing it yourself. Another friend of mine worked for them but as their policy is GREEN, he had to take public transport everywhere as cars are classed as filthy!
