That was what i was thinking. I know that it may seem like a waste of money but a close friend of mine has the same set up running pretty much the same boost (a fair bit more than standard) and his turbo has just blown to bits. The company that rebuilt it has asked him did he have a DV or blanked it off? He had blanked it off and they said that would have help to the breaking of the turbo unit?

So to spend £80 on a dump valve to make me save £100's on a new turbo?
