i've got teh halfrods box o tools as well

no complaints in the past few years since i've had the box

i've been collecting tools since i was 15 so that's nearly 20 years worth i've got sat about the place
my advice is buy tools when you can rather than when you need them if you are going to do a lot of spannering, i've got several sets of the same size sockets and several ratchets and loads of other bits and bobs but i've got 3 sets of halfords spanners for starters plus so many sockets i can't even remember where i got most of them

there are certain tools you need to have, and certain tools that you should have and certain tools that you can get away with not having, but amongst the tools you do need the halfords box set tends to have the majority of the undoing and tightening up stuff

you shoudl also look into getting a slide hammer and a puller and basic mechanical stuff like that before you start looking to getting the more specialist stuff such as bearing presses and the like
