I have some Halfords PRO stuff, found it ace myself, very good quality and ace value.
The last tool I broke was a SNAP ON torque wrench, these are NOT gauranteed, so paid £52 to have it repaired, broke same thing two days later, and was around 1/3 of it's torque rating, oh well at least I won't have to pay for repair, WRONG, expected to pay again.
I said FFS I can buy a TORQUE WRENCH with a lifetime warranty for 1/2 that amount this one cost to fix, snap on man says "but what if it breaks", lifetime warranty.
I now have four teng torque wrenches to cover my ranges, one did indeed throw a wobbly, went wildly inaccurate, 6 months old, they could not replace it fast enough, took one out of a set as they did not have it in stock, and delivered to me the same morning, from stockist.
Snap on took 5 weeks to repair my TR!!
I think along the lines of the warranty being worth more than the tool itself.
The snap on man is no longer a snap on man and sells all makes, but NOT snap on!!
