You would probably be amazed at how little carbon panels actually save you in terms of weight. I replaced a lot of panels on my track car with carbon a while agi, and the weight difference was 11kg. Dont get me wrong, the original items had been extensively lightened for track use, and 11kg was (in my eyes at the time) a decent enough saving to justify the ridiculous cost to have one off panels made. But it wouldnt be for everyone.

my point was that if you can spend 9k on a strut brace whats going to save exactly fuckall weight, then a carbon roof is nothing really, as it will save weight in the right place. vroomtsh, whats your track car? got any pics?
also lightweight magnesium wheels or panels are no trouble when spending 9 grand on a strut brace.
would love to see it on track.
and what about the btcc engine? how much did the xes make in btcc spec?

again im not slagging this car, as it could be an amzing track car, its just more thought is needed in place in my opinion.
