I made up a piece of perspex that i drop into the channel. It stops you being able to slide the slider back from outside.

When the slider is open I obviously have to take it out so I drop it in front of the slider meaning the gap stays open under heavy braking.

Hope the above makes sense but simple solution that costs about 0.003p
