The monitor has started turning itself off randomly and increasingly frequently. It can be resolved by removing the power lead from the back of it and ramming it in HARD!! LOL.

If the monitor goes off, no amount of wiggling the cable around will get it back on, but removing the plug altogether and ramming it in will always bring it back on.

I have concluded that it is the monitor at fault and am fairly happy (well not happy as such) with that. However, there isn't a chance it could be the graphics card, is there? Or something else?

I was away from the PC for a while tonight and it didnt switch off once for the hour or so that I was away, but as soon as I started using it, it went off!! Maybe it was the movement of the desk that was enough?
