Default 4 wheel drive problems

hi folks
i have an escort cossie 4 wheel drive as they all are, my engine is pushing 600 plus bhp, ive an r and d 6 spped gearbox, whilst on the dyno the first time we discovered the viscous coupling was fooked, got it repaired and it fucked again or maybe it wasnt fixed correctly

ok ive the car at home here in ireland and no dyna pack for 100s of miles
ive the car up on axle stand and when driven in first gear the front wheels turned but not as fast as the rears and they appeared ok in second, this was done with the wheels off so very hard to fully see what was going on, is it possible that the vc is fooked again or do the front wheels not run the same as the rear wheels in first gear

im using standard diffs which is probarbly going to be a problem,
also could someone suggest suitable diffs to use and a rough cost of same

thanks
