Not illegal so don't delete it!
I made a torrent from files on my PC to send to a mate, to do some testing for speed (to see if I could send him files faster using uTorrent than we currently do via FTP)
First test was a 2.5mb file - took him 26mins to download it
Second test I sent a 118mb file - took him 2hrs 11mins (speed he saw was 15.7kb/s average)
To role reverse he sent me a 10mb file - this took me 2.5hrs to download and I never saw over 1.0kb/s
I don't get it... My connection is Virgin Cable, 2mb downstream (speedtest.net tells me my downstream is 1902 down and upstream is 192kb/s) and most torrents, well seeded, will see between 100 and 200kb/s (if not using the PC for any other internet activity I can see over 250kb/s)
his connection is ADSL, Tiscali, 8mb downstream (don't know what that is upstream, but typically ADSL upstream is better than cable, and an 8mb line should have a better upspeed than 2mb aswell...
why did it take so long to download his 10mb file?
